Morag has over 20 years’ experience in hospitality interior design in Hong Kong and Macau. Before returning to Scotland in 2017, Morag was Director of Design for Wynn Design and Development in Macau and responsible for the ongoing design renovations and upgrades of Wynn’s two 5-star casino and resort properties on Macau Peninsula – Wynn Macau and Encore Macau. She was also responsible for managing the design and fit-out of key areas within the multi-billion US$ new resort, Wynn Palace, on the Cotai Strip. Prior to this, she was Senior FF&E Design Manager for Las Vegas Sands in Macau managing the design, manufacture and install of all FF&E and artwork for Sands Cotai Central, a US$4 billion integrated resort comprising 6,000 hotel rooms, two casinos, meeting and convention space, pool decks, retail outlets, spas and F&B.

Morag studied fine art at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee, Scotland specialising in oil painting followed by an MA in Fine Art from Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen, Scotland. Shortly after graduation, she relocated to Hong Kong and started working in an architectural and interior design practice sourcing and maintaining the product and samples library. This ignited a passion for design and the experience of sourcing and specifying construction and decorative materials proved to be an essential background to understanding the design process from the bottom up and the ability to work through design issues, problem solve on-site and workshop with contractors on the correct usage and application of a wide variety of complex finishes.

Over the following decades she worked for some of the industry’s leading design companies and brands including CL3 Architects Ltd, Aedas Interiors, BUZ Design, Bilkey Llinas Design, Las Vegas Sands and Wynn Design and Development, progressing through designer roles to senior designer, associate and director roles. With projects worldwide for clients such as Shangri La Hotels, Sheraton, Ritz Carlton, Mandarin Oriental, Hilton, Peninsula, Sands, Venetian, Wynn, Ove Arup and Indeed, Morag brings an interior designer’s perspective to the team; an ability to quickly review and understand drawing packages, quantify scope and interpret operator’s requirements.
